examples of my work

Dear sis... | author site

For the Dear Sis author website, I collaborated closely with Ashley Jones to create a visually engaging and informative platform. The goal was to design a site that not only showcases her book but also reflects her personal journey and professional achievements. I began by incorporating a color scheme centered around the hues from her book cover—pink, purple, black, and white—to create a cohesive and appealing aesthetic. The homepage features a welcoming introduction with high-resolution images provided by Ashley, along with a prominent display of the book cover and purchase link. Special attention was given to creating a smooth and intuitive navigation experience, allowing visitors to easily access information about the book, read the author's bio, and explore blog posts.

To enhance the site's dynamic feel, I integrated animations and scrapbook-like elements as requested by Ashley. This added a personal touch and visual interest, especially on the blog page, where borders and stickers give a playful, engaging look. Throughout the project, I maintained open communication with Ashley to ensure her vision was accurately reflected, making adjustments based on her feedback. The final result is a polished, user-friendly website that effectively promotes her book, engages her audience, and provides a space for her to share her ongoing journey and insights.

Website mockup for a personal memoir and self-help guide titled 'Dear Sis.' The webpage features a modern, dark-themed design with a purple and black color scheme. The main section showcases an image of the author sitting outdoors, holding her book. The page includes sections about the book, the author's experiences, and the reasons for sharing her story. There are also testimonials and a 'Buy the Book' call-to-action button. Additional sections highlight the author's background and work, with more images of her posing with the book in various outdoor settings.

doom loop fest | pitch site

For the Doom Loop Festival, I designed and developed a captivating single-page site that encapsulates the essence of San Francisco's vibrant nightlife and festival culture. The site features a dynamic layout that showcases the prospective festival highlights. Leveraging interactive elements and high-quality visuals, the design aims to engage visitors and create anticipation for this unique event.

The development process involved close collaboration with Andre Denais, focusing on bringing his vision to life. We integrated various media and content to reflect the festival's diverse offerings, from local cuisine to circus performers. The site also includes a newsletter sign-up and contact form to keep prospective attendees informed and engaged. The design’s responsive nature ensures an optimal viewing experience across all devices, enhancing the festival's online presence and accessibility.

The supermarket atl | event venue

The redesign and development of The Supermarket ATL's website aimed to create a visually engaging and user-friendly platform that effectively showcases the venue's diverse event spaces and services. Drawing inspiration from vibrant and interactive elements seen on websites like MeowWolf.com and House of Yes, I crafted a design that maintained a unique identity aligned with The Supermarket ATL's brand. The focus was on implementing an intuitive event management system and a seamless booking process, ensuring easy navigation across all devices.

Throughout the development process, SEO optimization was a priority to enhance the site's visibility in search engines, ultimately driving more bookings and event inquiries. The result was a website that not only captured the eclectic energy of The Supermarket ATL but also met and exceeded the client's expectations in terms of functionality, design, and performance. This comprehensive approach ensured that the final product supported the business goals and enhanced the venue's online presence.
